Dawn Packer is a talented portrait artist who resides on a small acreage in the beautiful area of Kurmond. She has a deep passion for her craft and enjoys spending time in her recently refurbished studio. Although she primarily focuses on portraits, she also dabbles in landscapes, drawing inspiration from the unique people, stunning landscapes, and the many gorgeous animals in her life.
In 2010, a personal life-changing event led Dawn to retire from her law office job and pursue her true passion for painting. By 2015, she began to fully embrace her artistic journey. Her oil painting ‘Miss Laura’ was a semi-finalist in the Moran Portraiture Prize in 2016, and ‘Little Boy Blue’ received the same recognition in 2017.
